Nihongo Time – Japanese Conversation Class has started for the year 2013!
If you are tired of classrooms, homework, tests and having to listen to the teacher talk all the time, this is the class for you!
- Learn about the cultures of Japan through hands-on activities within a friendly atmosphere
- Improve your language skill through casual conversations with teachers and students
- Native Japanese teachers will help you improve your listening skills, pronunciations, vocabularies and more!
Any level of Japanese welcomed!
Classes are EVERY SATURDAY from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the NIKKEI CULTURAL & SENIOR CENTRE (2236 – 29th St SW). Classes are only $7.00 per session! Drop-ins welcomed ANYTIME!
WE OFFER TUTORING AS WELL!! LET US HELP YOU WITH YOUR STUDIES AND HOMEWORKS!!

“We would like to announce a clothing drive that will be organized in conjunction with the Cerebral Palsy Association In Alberta. We will have a bin for drop-off at the Japanese Community Centre (#2236 29 Street SW- ENTER FROM THE FRONT ENTRANCE PLEASE and ring the doorbell if the door is locked). Please ensure that all items being donated are in good condition (no holes or stains in clothes, shoes, bedding or towels). The bin will be setup in the front foyer from October 15-22 and will be accessible. Check schedule below for drop off times.
I am also looking for some volunteers who will be available during weekday evenings or weekends to sort through donations. There won’t be an exact schedule until we see the volume of items that are dropped off, so it’ll be a days notice when I will call to check on your availability. Here are the times for drop-off:
15-19 (mon-friday) 8:30am-3:30pm
20 (saturday) 9:30am-1:30pm
21 (sunday) 11am-4pm
22 (monday) 8:30-3:30pm
